What kind of laugh is "fufufufufufu"? What does that even sound like? >_>

It shouldn't be further showcased to diminish the rest of the games here, or like Ratty said, have something entirely unique for RMN.
It would be neat to have an RMN Hall of Fame page or something to that effect (or just make the Featured Games page stand out more, w/e)
...I think you're going a bit far to say that other games are being hindered because Pom has been taking residence in a tiny box on the front page for two years, though. Most of the people coming for Pom are doing it through a direct link, whether it be from the Pewdiepie video or somewhere else.
I honestly don't think anybody is getting "diminished" if people are just coming for Pom, clicking Download Now, and skedaddling out of here. If anything, some of those people might be inclined to stick around and look at other things too.

I'd be more than happy to see Pom in some sort of banner consisting of well-known characters from games on RMN. But yeah, definitely not the mascot. :s I think that should be its own thing.

Looks like I'm going for the right direction with my graphics. I aimed for cute, sorta retro-y, and I'm glad that's where it's going :)
EDIT: The Faceset is supposed to have a transparent background but maybe it saved wrong. Also, the first two characters have a reason for looking nearly identical, so I'm not too worried about that.. though I definitely agree that the eyes should be more distinct from one another.

These overworld icons are adorable! These remind me of those overworld icons in FF Tactics Advance. If you're planning to put these in a world map that serves as a navigation menu, you're good to go.

"Time has passed" sounds very dull and exciting. You could probably begin that paragraph with "As time continued to pass" or something to that effect.

These map tiles are very good. I don't think i have too much to suggest here, although I imagine that 45 degree ramp is rather tough to traverse. Maybe extend it by a tile or two to make it less steep?

The style clash in your title screen is... strong, to say the least. I would spend a little more time making your visuals more uniform.

I like the shapes, but those two blocks have conflicting shadows. Where is the light source coming from?

Let's be fair, to "only" hate it because it's popular is unlikely, even if some people like finding bad in popular things. It can fuel the anger behind not liking it tho.
There are those who are reluctant to trust majority opinion and start looking for flaws or blemishes in a game that they wouldn't have found otherwise. But all too often does this lead to anger.
